The Story Behind NauKa
The name NauKa, of Sanskrit origin, means “boat,” suggesting a connection to journeys and exploration.
NauKa, like a ship guided by a skilled broker, navigates the seas of commerce, ensuring maritime ventures reach their destination.
Transitioning to an LLP has provided our ship broking company with limited liability, enhanced flexibility, and improved financial stability, positioning us for future growth and success.

He is a shareholder of business entities related to Technologies, Infrastructure, Education and Training, Management Consulting, and Business Development in Asia and Europe. He is an expert in Global Project Management in both private and public sectors in Asia.

Gunaseharan has held senior management positions in public listed companies internationally for over 20 years. He has spent time in different shipping portfolios but primarily in the energy segment (last 19 years in the LNG sector).He has worked with MISC Berhad, Nakilat (formerly known as Qatar Gas Transport company) in Doha and with MOL (Europe Africa Ltd) in London. He has been responsible for the management and operation of large fleets of LNG Carriers delivering a high quality service for global customers. The latter assignments provided opportunity for Gunaseharan to serve as a director on multiple international joint venture boards. He had exposure to S&P of crude and product tankers during his time with MISC Berhad. He attained a MBA from the University of Bath in 2002.

Capt. Iqbal Aslam is a distinguished maritime professional whose career spans the full breadth of seafaring and shore-based maritime leadership. Rising through the ranks from Deck Cadet to Master Mariner, he later served as Head of Faculty, Maritime Education at a Maritime Academy, where he imparted his vast knowledge to the next generation of seafarers. Ashore, he brought his seafaring insight into impactful roles including Commercial Manager at a local shipping company, as well as key leadership positions such as Designated Person Ashore (DPA), HSSEQ Manager, and Crewing HSSE Manager. Capt. Iqbal has since transitioned into continued entrepreneurship in the maritime industry, carrying forward his legacy of dedication, mentorship, and excellence in maritime operations and safety management.
